Airport Chic

Sorry I haven't been posting this last week, I've been really busy.
Anyway, I've scheduled posts to go up for the next month because I'll be REALLY busy!

I'll be travelling around and here's an outfit inspiration I have in mind. I believe we have to be presentable wherever we are but at the same time being presentable!

What do you usually wear in the airport?

Zumba Craze!

First off, let me say that I am in no way physically fit! However, I do appreciate the need for a physically healthy body. I think it is very important and will have some long term benefits that I would not regret! No pain, no gain right?

However, I can only handle so much pain before I pass out!

This is why I fell in love with Zumba! Its like going out with your girls to dance. Its so much fun that at the end of the session you wont feel like you wasted time getting fit but went out to the club! HAHA!

Its Better Late than Never

This past few days, I've been doing my spring cleaning. I know it a bit late.. but hey I was lazy busy, OK?

I developed a system of Keep, Throw or Donate

KEEP

-clothes that are classics, investment pieces, and can be used all year round
-books that I still read/would like to reread
-  one kind of shoe. Anything more.. then I have to give upa different item
- Accessories I use at least once a week

THROW
- old magazines lying around
-damaged beyond repair clothes, shoes and bags
- unnecessary boxes (I have lots lying around!)
- old makeup!

DONATE
- good condition bags, shoes and clothes that I don't use anymore
- items gifted that I've never used
- things of childhood past
- impulse buys I never used!
- miscellaneous clutter in my room

After finishing this, I shall reward myself with a cold cup of ice cream!
Wish me luck!

Mint-y Fresh

I'm totally loving the pastel trend for spring. There's one color that has definitely caught my eye and that is mint! It's such a refreshing color to wear. Wear it with a pop of pink to add a touch of preppy-ness. Here's how I plan to wear and incorporate mint into my wardrobe.

What do you think?

No detail is too small

What do you think preppy stands for? Prepared of course! Just kidding! But I do believe that a true prepster is prepared for whatever curveball life throws you. This is why organization and planning is key to achieve this.

These are some of my essentials in making sure I am completely prepared and organized for the day:

SMART PHONE
Almost everyone I know owns a phone of some sort. If you're looking to upgrade/ change phones I highly recommend that you choose a smartphone. Smartphones are amazing because it has various features such as calendars, clocks and apps which will help you increase your productivity. Most smartphones connect to your email which makes communication easier on the go.

PLANNER
Planners are amazing! With so many things happening in my life it helps that I have a planner to record what needs to get done and when its due. I suggest using a highlighter or a red pen to check off items you have accomplished. It seriously helps!

EVERYTHING NOTEBOOK
The everything notebook is for.. everything! From doodles, phone numbers, random thoughts to just plain to-do lists. It helps that you have something handy when a stroke of genius strikes!

EVERNOTE
Evernote is one app where having a smart-phone pays off. Need to interview someone? Or listen to a lecture. Turn the recording function on while you tap notes. Or if you're too lazy to actually type notes evernote can do the typing for you. All you have to do is sync and alll youre notes are ccessible to all you're other devices woth Evernote.

What are you're organizational must haves?

Livin' the Life

As I'm sipping my warm chamomile tea about to call it a day, I get this sudden urge to create a blog. I have always been an avid blog reader and it has come to a point where I'll read any blog as long as it peaks my interests. Sometimes I even try searching for specific blogposts (through Google) on topics that interest me. However, there are times when I couldn't find any blogpost on a particular topic I'm interested in or I'm not satisfied with the posts I have found on the Internet. This has fueled my desire to create a blog. But there were a lot of things that held me back.

Today, I figured was the perfect time to take a leap of faith and create the blog of my dreams. I'm currently in transition, about to end a chapter of my life and enter a new and exciting one. Join me in my journey in living the elegantly preppy life and learn with me as I learn the ropes of becoming a certified blogger!
